STEVE RICE
President
After working for only one painting company, Steve opened Southwest Coating Services in April of 1991 (when he was 4 years old…) and has operated it since. He began working in the field with his first hires, friends and family. Steve learned to manage employees and to relate to customers through hard knocks, which helped him grow.
Today, through hard work and dedication, he has grown the company tremendously. Not only has he shifted from residential to commercial and industrial projects, he has assembled a stellar team that support his mission and will undoubtedly bring his vision of servicing his customers and exceeding all his competitors into being.
His current goal is to increase the size of the Southwest Painting & Decorating, Inc. team to 100 painters. Accomplishing all this while continuing to provide services at a reasonable rate along with giving Southwest employees solid careers.

AMY GOUTY
Office Administrator – A/P & A/R
Amy joined Southwest Coating Services in June 2019 but has been working and running constructions offices for 20 + years. This is the job she loves to do. Accounting and payroll top the favorite list as dealing with numbers is where she strives. Anything you need at any time, just call, Amy will get it done for you.
MICHAEL (MONTE) MONTEMAYOR
Field Superintendent
Monte has been with Southwest Coating Services since 2012. He started as a painter and has since been promoted to the position of Field Superintendent by 2018. His favorite quote is “Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth” Mike Tyson
HEIDI PETERSON
Project Manager Assistant
Heidi has recently joined the Southwest Coatings team and is eager to put her previous experiences to good use as part of the project management team. She has a background in Architectural Technology and Interior Design as well as experience in Estimation and Office Management. Heidi believes that good communication and a willingness to grow and try new things is what drives the success of each project and ultimately the success of a business. Joining a company that takes pride in their work as well as their staff has made her feel welcome and enthusiastic about supporting each client with their projects and forging future relationships.
Becca Hatfield
Estimator
Becca has been with Southwest Coating Services since December 2023 and quickly learning the ways of the construction world and the painting industry. She has a strong background in customer service and event planning/coordination. She is working on her bachelor’s degree in business administration and believes that teamwork and communication are the keys to any successful project or company. Becca has recently transitioned to an estimating role from her previous position of managing project production. Being part of the Southwest family has allowed her to grow and explore what she loves.
ALLIE JURCZAK
Office Assistant
Allie joined Southwest in October of 2023 and is currently in school obtaining her Bachelor of Computer Science degree. She has always been tech savvy since she was little and enjoys working in computers. However, she also enjoys working with blueprint drawings and getting projects organized and getting everything together for our painters in the field.
